Q: What are Trades Media looking for?

A: We are looking for guys, girls, and couples, sexual orientation: Gay, Bi and Straight, between the ages of 18 and 30, who wish to be models in adult movies. Experience is not essential.

Q: How do I apply to become a Trades Media adult movie star?

A: Send us an email with some details about yourself (150 words maximum), with some recent pictures of yourself attached (maximum 5 pictures, maximum size: 1024 x 768 pixels). N.B.: please use a current and valid email address, so we can  communicate further with you.

Q: What happens then?

A: We'll assess your application, and what happens next depends on whether you have experience as a model/actor.

If you already have experience as a model/actor, we probably won't need to audition you, and if you can provide us with a strong portfolio, we'll probably go straight into discussing projects with you.

If you think you've got what it takes but have no experience in front of the camera, we'll give you your big break! We will usually need to audition you to see what you look like on film and in photos, and if that goes well, then we'll start discussing potential projects with you.

Q: I have been invited for an audition - what happens now?

A: We will arrange a mutually-convenient time and date with you, and we'll email you with the appointment details. We'll photograph and film you in various scenarios in our studio. We'll see how the audition pictures and footage looks, and you've got what it takes, we'll start discussing projects with you.

Q: Where is Trades Media located?

A: Our offices and studio are located in Blackpool, North West England, but we film in many different locations.

Q: What can I expect on my audition day?

A: We will take some stills (photos) and shoot a short video. This will help in deciding which projects may be suitable for you. We'll also have a chat and a cup of tea!

Q: What should I bring with me on my audition day?

A: You will need to bring two forms of identification, and evidence of your age. You will need to bring these for any commercial sessions, too.

Q: Will I need to bring any money for my audition?

A: It is a good idea to have some cash with you for your lunch, etc.

Q: Does Trades Media pay me for my audition?

A: No, we do not pay you for auditions, but we will pay you your return travel costs for attending an audition. The amount will need to be agreed in advance of your audition, and we will need a receipt from you for your travel costs..

Q: What will happen with the pictures and films from my audition?

A: We will NOT commercially exploit any film or pictures from your audition - we will only use them to assess your potential for future projects. If you pass our audition, we may also use a low-resolution picture to give an example of the kind of media star we are seeking.

Q: How much will I be paid for commercial work?

A: Your pay for any photographic or filming projects will be discussed with you before any such work is scheduled. We will also pay your travelling expenses for commercial work.

Q: Will you pay my travelling expenses?

A: Yes! We'll pay your travelling expenses for both auditions and for commercial sessions.

Q: Where will my photos and videos end up?

A: Our work is primarily internet-based, but pictures and movies may also be used for other media under our control. We do not currently intend to sell or licence our pictures and/or films to other distributors.

Q: Will my personal details be safe with you?

A: Yes - all personal details are treated as strictly confidential and are kept under lock and key.

Q: Will I get a copy of my work?

A: Yes, but this will be for your personal use only - please remember that all materials are under copyright, and may not be re-broadcast or re-used in any way

Q: Why is there no telephone number on the website?

A: We receive a large number of applications every day, and it's easier for us to handle them if they come via email. Working this way means we can reply to you sooner, and give you a better service.
